On the cold foggy night of January 31, 1979, Dothan, Alabama, “narcotics officer

Sgt. Robert Jackson” pulled into his driveway at 10:30 P.M. and was immediately

shotgunned to death from a double barrel 12 gage sawed-off shotgun by “Jimmy

Albritton, a Florida man” who was never identified as the shooter of the Mafia

contract murder - despite being a police officer.

Sgt. Jackson’s murder is the longest running murder cover up in Alabama’s and possibly
the nation’s history.

It has never been acknowledged or investigated and all reference to Jackson’s name or
his murder has been buried since “Myron Thompson persuaded Jackson’s widow to file
a civil law suit against the City of Dothan, Alabama.“

Thompson was immediately appointed a federal Judge and served as Chief Judge from
1991 to 98. All reference to Thompson’s former private law practice at Dothan, Alabama
has since been buried. Judge Thompson is the “Alabama Casino Bribery Judge.”

Civil Rights Attorney, Fred Gray who thought he was the nominee to the bench "was
floored" when he received a phone call from Alabama Senator Howell Heflin, Alabama of
the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee in the middle of the night while attending a

convention in Texas," according to my source (The family member who heard the death
bed confession of W.D. Williams, an Alabama car dealer - who hired the hit) spoke to
Gray and he continued that Gray related to him that Thompson was approved before
he was even nominated.

There is a long list of people who have been murdered which may now be tied back to
the contract murder of Sgt. Robert Jackson. First and foremost should be the death of
my former case agent, “Bobby Sides,” a United States Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms
agent, in 1981. Since that dreadful time in my life I’ve taken on a dogged determined effort
to bring these people to justice. I’ve gone through pure hell - as my life nears the
end the answers have suddenly come in person from people who, like me, have been
deeply involved and can’t shake loose from the truth, which Judge Thompson and these
evil people have insisted on concealing. I’ll admit that I have a personal stake in these
casino gambling and other racketeering caes involving all these people that I will put out
in the next few days - If I’m alive.

Being an investigative journalist, starting in my early twenties in 1970 working both
broadcast and print, then publishing an investigate reporting magazine in the Panhandle
of Florida for four years, now on-line with “insider-magazine.com”, my long experience
certainly gives me a better view of what is needed if anything to insure the free flow of
ideas and thought in our so-called democratic republic.

First and foremost, government interference and capitalism has failed to produce
anything resembling a free press since it’s inception. News reports have always been
biased and unfair and based upon advertising dollars, political bullying, or outright
lies, intimidation and physical violence and threats or very real arrests by law enforcement
officials who have most always been worse than the gangsters I’ve reported
on in over 40 years.

The misinformed public has always voted for corrupt politicians and pinned a gun and
badge on the biggest crooks in America, compliments of the corporate press who started

out as circular and funny paper printers looking for a way to feed their families.

They soon wound up being jailed, bullied and swayed to write all things favorable to

would be kings or their presses were burned and their lives shattered.

Over the past several decades I have often left the media business and started up
profitable computer and technology companies only to close them down and return to
my first love and that has always been uncovering and exposing the truth, being the
ass and controversial independent knowing my life has always been about doing the
right thing for society and not just my own wallet.

It’s difficult to explain to this generation of American’s who don’t give a damn about
the idea of freedom and what it really means to be at the forefront of the battle for
independence and equal justice for all.

I’m now 61 years old and tired because of all those battles fought with little money
and support from my loyal readers. The last two years I’ve been a fugitive from justice
from the state of Florida, whose politicians wanted to be rid of me so bad that they
outlawed free speech and managed to arrest me for requesting copies of public records
at the Bay County Courthouse in 2006, in connection with the boot camp death
case of a 14-year old black teenager.

What will surprise those who may already be surprised about the Dönmeh connection to Turkey, is the Dönmeh connection to the House of Saud in Saudi Arabia.

An Iraqi Mukhabarat (General Military Intelligence Directorate) Top Secret report, “The Emergence of Wahhabism and its Historical Roots,” dated September 2002 and released on March 13, 2008, by the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency in translated English form, points to the Dönmeh roots of the founder of the Saudi Wahhabi sect of Islam, Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab. Much of the information is gleaned from the memoirs of a “Mr. Humfer,” (as spelled in the DIA report, “Mr. Hempher” as spelled the historical record) a British spy who used the name “Mohammad,” claimed to be an Azeri who spoke Turkish, Persian, and Arabic and who made contact with Wahhab in the mid-18th century with a view of creating a sect of Islam that would eventually bring about an Arab revolt against the Ottomans and pave the way for the introduction of a Jewish state in Palestine. Humfer’s memoirs are recounted by the Ottoman writer and admiral Ayyub Sabri Pasha in his 1888 work, “The Beginning and Spreading of Wahhabism.”

In his book, The Dönmeh Jews, D. Mustafa Turan writes that Wahhab’s grandfather, Tjen Sulayman, was actually Tjen Shulman, a member of the Jewish community of Basra, Iraq. The Iraqi intelligence report also states that in his book, The Dönmeh Jews and the Origin of the Saudi Wahhabis, Rifat Salim Kabar reveals that Shulman eventually settled in the Hejaz, in the village of al-Ayniyah what is now Saudi Arabia, where his grandson founded the Wahhabi sect of Islam. The Iraqi intelligence report states that Shulman had been banished from Damascus, Cairo, and Mecca for his “quackery.” In the village, Shulman sired Abdul Wahhab. Abdel Wahhab’s son, Muhammad, founded modern Wahhabism.

The Iraqi report also makes some astounding claims about the Saud family. It cites Abdul Wahhab Ibrahim al-Shammari’s book, The Wahhabi Movement: The Truth and Roots, which states that King Abdul Aziz Ibn Saud, the first Kingdom of Saudi Arabia monarch, was descended from Mordechai bin Ibrahim bin Moishe, a Jewish merchant also from Basra. In Nejd, Moishe joined the Aniza tribe and changed his name to Markhan bin Ibrahim bin Musa. Eventually, Mordechai married off his son, Jack Dan, who became Al-Qarn, to a woman from the Anzah tribe of the Nejd. From this union, the future Saud family was born.

The Iraqi intelligence document reveals that the researcher Mohammad Sakher was the subject of a Saudi contract murder hit for his examination into the Sauds’ Jewish roots. In Said Nasir’s book, The History of the Saud Family, it is maintained that in 1943, the Saudi ambassador to Egypt, Abdullah bin Ibrahim al Muffadal, paid Muhammad al Tamami to forge a family tree showing that the Sauds and Wahhabs were one family that descended directly from the Prophet Mohammed.

At the outset of World War I, a Jewish British officer from India, David Shakespeare, met with Ibn Saud in Riyadh and later led a Saudi army that defeated a tribe opposed to Ibn Saud. In 1915, Ibn Saud met with the British envoy to the Gulf region, Bracey Cocas. Cocas made the following offer to Ibn Saud: “I think this is a guarantee for your endurance as it is in the interest of Britain that the Jews have a homeland and existence, and Britain’s interests are, by all means, in your interest.” Ibn Saud, the descendant of Dönmeh from Basra, responded: “Yes, if my acknowledgement means so much to you, I acknowledge thousand times granting a homeland to the Jews in Palestine or other than Palestine.” Two years later, British Foreign Secretary Lord Balfour, in a letter to Baron Walter Rothschild, a leader of the British Zionists, stated: “His Majesty’s government view with favor the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people . . .” The deal had the tacit backing of two of the major players in the region, both descendant from Dönmeh Jews who supported the Zionist cause, Kemal Ataturk and Ibn Saud. The present situation in the Middle East should be seen in this light but the history of the region has been purged by certain religious and political interests for obvious reasons.

After World War I, the British facilitated the coming to power of the Saud regime in the former Hejaz and Nejd provinces of the Ottoman Empire. The Sauds established Wahhabism as the state religion of the new Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and, like the Kemalist Dönmeh in Turkey, began to move against other Islamic beliefs and sects, including the Sunnis and Shi’as. The Wahhabi Sauds accomplished what the Kemalist Dönmeh were able to achieve in Turkey: a fractured Middle East that was ripe for Western imperialistic designs and laid the groundwork for the creation of the Zionist state of Israel.

Deep states and Dönmeh

During two visits to Turkey in 2010, I had the opportunity of discussing the Ergenekon “deep state” with leading Turkish officials. It was more than evident that discussions about the Ergenekon network and its “foreign” connections are a highly-sensitive subject. However, it was also whispered by one high-ranking Turkish foreign policy official that there were other “deep states” in surrounding nations and Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Syria were mentioned by name. Considering the links between Ergenekon and the Dönmeh in Turkey and the close intelligence and military links between the Dönmeh-descendent Sauds and Wahhabis in Arabia, the reports of close links between ousted Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and his intelligence chief Omar Suleiman and the Binyamin Netanyahu government in Israel may be seen in an entirely new light… And it would explain Erdogan’s support for Egypt’s revolution: in Turkey, it was a democratic revolution that curbed the influence of the Dönmeh. The influence of Wahhabi Salafists in Libya’s new government also explains why Erdogan was keen on establishing relations with the Benghazi-based rebels to help supplant the influence of the Wahhabis, the natural allies of his enemies, the Dönmeh (Ergenekon) of Turkey.

Erdogan’s desire to set the historical record straight by restoring history purged by the Kemalists and Dönmeh has earned him vitriolic statements from Israel’s government that he is a neo-Ottomanist who is intent on forming an alliance with the Muslim Brotherhood in the Arab countries. Clearly, the Dönmeh and their Zionist brethren in Israel and elsewhere are worried about Dönmeh and Zionist historical revisionism, including their role in the Armenian and Assyrian genocide, and their genocide denial being exposed.

In Egypt, which was once an Ottoman realm, it was a popular revolution that tossed out what may have amounted to the Dönmeh with regard to the Mubarak regime. The Egyptian “Arab Spring” also explains why the Israelis were quick to kill six Egyptian border police so soon after nine Turkish passengers were killed aboard the Mavi Marmara, some in execution style, by Israeli troops. Dönmeh doctrine is rife with references to the Old Testament Amalekites, a nomadic tribe ordered attacked by the Hebrews from Egypt by the Jewish God to make room for Moses’s followers in the southern region of Palestine. In the Book of Judges, God unsuccessfully commands Saul: “Now go and strike Amalek and devote to destruction all that they have. Do not spare them, but kill both man and woman, and infant, ox, and sheep, camel and donkey.” The Dönmeh, whose doctrine is also present in Hasidic and other orthodox sects of Judaism, appear to have no problem substituting the Armenians, Assyrians, Turks, Kurds, Egyptians, Iraqis, Lebanese, Iranians, and Palestinians for the Amalekites in carrying out their military assaults and pogroms.

With reformist governments in Turkey and Egypt much more willing to look into the background of those who have split the Islamic world, Ataturk in Turkey and Mubarak in Egypt, the Sauds are likely very much aware that it is only a matter of time before their links, both modern and historical, to Israel will be fully exposed. It makes sense that the Sauds have been successful in engineering a dubious plot involving Iranian government agents trying to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to Washington in an unnamed Washington, DC restaurant. The Iraqi intelligence report could have been referring to the Zionists and Dönmeh when it stated, “it strives to . . . [the] killing of Muslims, destructing, and promoting the turmoil.” In fact, the Iraqi intelligence report was referring to the Wahhabis.

With new freedom in Turkey and Egypt to examine their pasts, there is more reason for Israel and its supporters, as well as the Sauds, to suppress the true histories of the Ottoman Empire, secular Turkey, the origins of Israel, and the House of Saud. With various players now angling for war with Iran, the true history of the Dönmeh and their influence on past and current events in the Middle East becomes more important...

Three days after Wayne posted this article, the Wahhabi which are responsible for many terror attacks, struck again - this shooting occurred at the US embassy in Sarajevo last week.

The gunman was a young Bosnian Wahhabi man from Sandzak - a region in Serbia which is predominantly Wahhabi. Serbian police confirm that a number of individuals were arrested - video here. American police are now going to Sandzak to chase false-flag terrorists of last week's attack - link. The whole thing is about as authentic as the 9/11 investigation and the rest of the war on terror. (BTW, the Serbia-Sandzak Wahhabi have a strong connection to Thaci's KLA in Kosovo - both sides are controlled by CIA).

Compare to Wayne's recent writings about this Wahhabi group - note that this native Balkans Wahhabi group is notorious for its CIA ties and like the Saudi Dönmeh, the Sandzak (region of Serbia) offshoot is also Wahhabi. I very much believe that this is a part of the very same group Wayne wrote about which days after Wayne's article carried out this attack but this offshoot is not an imported terror cell but instead originates out of a native to the Balkans Wahhabi nest inside of Serbia where they have been living since the days of the Ottoman Turkish Empire. This Wahhabi plot goes back centuries.

When I read Wayne's article on Donmeh from Saudi Arabia, I did not initially understand that we are talking about the same group I know well from the Balkans. It took the Sarajevo US embassy shooting being traced to Wahhabi in Sandzak (Serbia) for me to connect the dots - and realize that Wayne is describing the crypto-Jewish roots of this Saudi group which landed in Yugoslavia long ago via the Ottoman Empire - that is the same tribe which just shot up the US embassy in Sarajevo last week.

Wayne, this Sandzak group is definitely an offshoot of the same historic group you are describing - our Balkans Wahhabi started in Jerusalem and were put into the Serbian region of Sandzak by the Ottoman Empire. What is interesting about them - you describe the Saudi Wahhabi to have the same peculiarities I remember from the Balkans branch.

In the Balkans, this Wahhabi group in Sandzak was always native to a portion stretching across Serbia and Montenegro but this is - of all the Balkans tribes - truly the most secretive and militant and dangerous group which does NOT mix with anyone - not even other muslims - most of our Yugoslavia muslims were libeeral and culturally open - except for this ultra-secretive Sandzak Wahhabi bunch. They were always an enigma in Yugoslavia. They always stuck to themselves. They have always been known to be heavily mob-connected to powerful people in Turkey and somewhere in the Arab world. Wayne just connected those dots from the Balkans all the way to crypto-Jews under muslim cover in Saudi Arabia.

As to our division in the Balkans - the Sandzak Wahhabi - they are known to be ruthless and they played a SIGNIFICANT role in WW II in the Balkans - this muslim (!) group fought on the side of Germany and Italy AGAINST the native populations of the Balkans and was granted autonomy during WW II...strange? Hitler promised them the moon and in turn, they planned to connect everything from Saudi Arabia, Syria and Middle East to the fascist empire. It was always unclear what a secretive Balkans strange muslim group was doing with Hitler and Mussolini - but an old mystery is falling into place - I have since childhood known about this strange Wahhabi group in Sandzak and it took Wayne to connect the dots all the way to Saudi Arabia and this being a deeply closeted Jewish group under muslim cover....they are Zionist muslims of all things???

Look at this, Wayne - it is remarkable that this region is under Serbia but Turkey settles their disputes - Turkey was again called to mediate recently link. The Wahhabi in Sandzak want autonomy and it is long known they only listen to certain groups in Turkey, not Serbia which is the country where they live.

It looks like Zionists are doing in Sandzak what they did to Kosovo - stir it up and get their incumbent tribe to secede and chop off yet another piece of Serbia, as they did with Kosovo. Look at their presence: USAID is a massive presence in this small area, so is Soros under the name Helsinki Watch (an OSI-funded Soros group). They are NOT there to help Serbs - this goes straight to this Wahhabi group, they are working with the mufti (the Wahhabi government).

Look at the map of the region. See the diagonal location of Sandzak across Serbia and Montenegro - and Kosovo immediately adjacent. The Zionists already have Kosovo. They have the Wahhabi inside of Sandzak. The Rothschilds have such a firm grip on Montenegro that journalist Dejan Lucic in Serbia calls Montenegro "Terra Rothschildiana". If Zionists "free" Sandzak via these muslims who are crypto-Jews via autonomy to yet another piece of the former Yugoslavia chopped off, they would have sea port access via Montenegro as tiny Montenegro is virtually wholly owned by the Rothschilds since the 90s war. Balkanization continues ad infinitum into the micro-slivers of what was once Yugoslavia. USAID and Soros people are always the vultures whose presence announces some sort of major Zionist plan for the region.

“War! Good God, ya’ll. What is it good for? Absolutely nothin’!”

So went the Bruce Springsteen pop hit of the 1980s, first produced as an anti-Vietnam War song in 1969. The song echoed popular sentiment. The Vietnam War ended. Then the Cold War ended. Yet military spending remains the government’s number one expenditure. When veterans’ benefits and other past military costs are factored in, half the government’s budget now goes to the military/industrial complex. Protesters have been trying to stop this juggernaut ever since the end of World War II, yet the war machine is more powerful and influential than ever.

Why? The veiled powers pulling the strings no doubt have their own dark agenda, but why has our much-trumpeted system of political democracy not been able to stop them?

The answer may involve our individualistic, laissez-faire brand of capitalism, which forbids the government to compete with private business except in cases of “national emergency.” The problem is that private business needs the government to get money into people’s pockets and stimulate demand. The process has to start somewhere, and government has the tools to do it. But in our culture, any hint of “socialism” is anathema. The result has been a state of “national emergency” has had to be declared virtually all of the time, just to get the government’s money into the economy.

Other avenues being blocked, the productive civilian economy has been systematically sucked into the non-productive military sector, until war is now our number one export. War is where the money is and where the jobs are. The United States has been turned into a permanent war economy and military state.

War as Economic Stimulus

The notion that war is good for the economy goes back at least to World War II. Critics of Keynesian-style deficit spending insisted that it was war, not deficit spending, that got the U.S. out of the Great Depression.

But while war may have triggered the surge in productivity that followed, the reason war worked was that it opened the deficit floodgates. The war was a huge stimulus to economic growth, not because it was a cost-effective use of resources, but because nobody worries about deficits in wartime.

In peacetime, on the other hand, when the government was not supposed to engage in competitive enterprise. As Nobel Prize winner Frederick Soddy observed:

The old extreme laissez-faire policy of individualistic economics jealously denied to the State the right of competing in any way with individuals in the ownership of productive enterprise, out of which monetary interest or profit can be made . . . .

In the 1930s, the government was allowed to invest in such domestic ventures as the Tennessee Valley Authority, but this was largely because private sector investors did not believe they could turn a sufficient profit on the projects themselves. The upshot was that the years between 1933 and 1937 proved to be the biggest cyclical boom in U.S. history. Real gross domestic product (GDP) grew at a 12 percent rate and nominal GDP grew at a 14 percent rate. But when the economy appeared to be back on its feet in 1937, Roosevelt was leaned on to cut back on public investment. The result was a surge in unemployment. The economic boom died and the economy slipped back into depression.

World War II reversed this cycle by re-opening the money spigots. “National security” trumped all, as Congress spent with reckless abandon to “preserve our way of life.” The all-out challenge of World War II allowed Congress to fund a flurry of industrial activity, as it ran up a tab on the national credit card that was 120% of GDP.

The government ran up the largest debt in its history. Yet the hyperinflation, currency devaluation, and economic collapse predicted by the deficit hawks did not occur. Rather, the machinery and infrastructure built during that booming period set the nation up to lead the world in productivity for the next half century. By the 1970s, the debt-to-GDP ratio had dropped from 120% to less than 40%, not because people sacrificed to pay back the debt, but because the economy was so productive that GDP rose to close the gap.

Stimulus Without War

World War II may have created jobs; but like all wars, it took a terrible toll. Economist John Maynard Keynes observed:

Pyramid-building, earthquakes, even wars may serve to increase wealth, if the education of our statesmen on the principles of the classical economics stands in the way of anything better. [Emphasis added.]

War was the economic stimulus of last resort when politicians were so confused in their understanding of economics that they would not allow the government to go into debt except for national emergencies. But Keynes said there are less destructive ways to get money into people’s pockets and stimulate the economy. Workers could be paid to dig ditches and fill them back up, and it would stimulate the economy. What a lagging economy needed was simply demand (available purchasing power). Demand would then stimulate businesses to produce more “supply”, creating more jobs and driving productivity. The key was that demand (money to spend) must come first.

The Chinese have put workers to work building massive malls and apartment buildings, many of which are standing empty for lack of customers and purchasers. It may be a wasteful use of resources, but it has succeeded in putting wages in workers’ pockets, giving them the purchasing power to spend on products and services, stimulating economic growth; and unlike wasteful war spending, the Chinese approach has not involved death and destruction.

A less costly alternative would be Milton Friedman’s hypothetical solution: simply drop money from helicopters. This has been linked to “quantitative easing” (QE), but QE as currently applied is not what Friedman described. The money has not been showered on the people and the local economy, putting money in people’s pockets, stimulating spending. It has been dropped into the reserve accounts of banks, where it has simply accumulated without reaching the productive economy. “Excess” reserves of $1.6 trillion are now sitting in reserve accounts at the Federal Reserve. A helicopter drop of the sort proposed by Friedman has not been tried.

A Better Solution

War, digging ditches, and dropping money from helicopters could all work to stimulate demand and increase purchasing power, but there are better alternatives. Today we have major unmet needs — infrastructure that is falling apart, overcrowded classrooms, energy systems waiting for development, research labs in need of funding. The most cost-effective solution today would be for the government to stimulate the economy by spending on work that actually improves the standard of living of the people.

This could be done while actually reducing the national debt. In a recent article, David Swanson cites a study by Robert Greenwald and Derrick Crowe, looking at the $60 billion lost by the Pentagon to waste and fraud in Iraq and Afghanistan. They calculated that this money could have created 193,000 more jobs than its military use created, if diverted to domestic commercial purposes. Swanson goes on:

There are some other calculations in the same study . . . . If we had spent that $60 billion on clean energy, we would have created (directly or indirectly) 330,000 more jobs. If we'd spent it on healthcare, we'd have created 480,000 more jobs. And if we'd spent it on education, we'd have created 1.05 million more jobs. . . .

Let's say we want to create 29 million jobs in 10 years. That's 2.9 million each year. Here's one way to do it. Take $100 billion from the Department of Defense and move it into education. That creates 1.75 million jobs per year. Take another $50 billion and move it into healthcare spending. There's an additional 400,000 jobs. Take another $100 billion and move it into clean energy. There's another 550,000 jobs. And take another $62 billion and turn it into tax cuts, generating an additional 200,000 jobs. Now the military spending in the Department of Energy, the State Department, Homeland Security, and so forth have not been touched. And the Department of Defense has been cut back to about $388 billion, which is to say: more than it was getting 10 years ago when our country went collectively insane.

Labor and resources are sitting idle while the bogeyman of “deficits” deprives the population of the goods and services they could create. Diverting a portion of our massive war spending to peaceful use could add jobs, improve living standards, and add infrastructure, while reducing the national debt and balancing the government’s budget by increasing the tax base and government revenues.

[This is as close as we will ever come to hearing a military official admitting that Americans are just as guilty of operating "proxy forces" in the AfPak region as Pakistan is....and in various parts of the World, using the infamous White House Murder INC,... What you will never hear one admit is that the forces USA are training and the missions they are training them for are TERRORISM, plain and simple. The good old USA is the number one trainer and supporter of terrorist forces in the world today, using the most infamous White House Murder INC,... . And it is not just proxy terrorism that American Special Forces and CIA/MOSSAD/MI6/DGSE/BND... are guilty of, it is the "direct action" missions in targeted countries, which amount to bombings, extra-judicial assassinations and sabotage, intended to implicate the host governments and militaries in "false flag" attacks.... Special operations forces who specialize in indirect action to stand up local security forces are achieving even more success in Afghanistan than Joint Special Operations Command’s kill-or-capture operations, according to the admiral who commanded JSOC until early summer.

Speaking to the House Armed Services Committee’s emerging threats and capabilities subcommittee, Adm. Bill McRaven, the new head of U.S. Special Operations Command, pledged to increase the resources of the regional special operations commands that focus primarily on indirect action.

“I believe that our future — SOCOM’s future — lies in the theater special operations forces and making sure that they are robust enough to handle the problems in their particular geographic areas,” he said Sept. 22.

The special ops community that McRaven now commands has long been divided between units that specialize in direct action, or “kinetic,” kill-or-capture missions and those that specialize in indirect action, such as unconventional warfare (training a proxy native force to overthrow a hostile government) and foreign internal defense (training friendly host-nation forces to combat an insurgency).

The largest force that specializes in indirect action, indeed, the largest single element in SOCOM, is the Army’s Special Forces, for whom direct action is just one of seven doctrinal missions.

The most elite direct action forces fall under the operational control of JSOC, headquartered at Fort Bragg, N.C.

They include 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment – Delta, or Delta Force, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment and 75th Ranger Regiment (all Army units) and the Navy’s Naval Special Warfare Development Group, or DevGru (sometimes called SEAL Team 6).

Many observers say JSOC played a significant role in turning the Iraq war around in 2006 and 2007 through the command’s relentless pressure on al-Qaida in Iraq’s networks, which it attacked using a combination of 10 or more raids a night and an ability to rapidly use intelligence gained on those raids to drive more missions.

JSOC, which McRaven led until June 10, is now similarly engaged in Afghanistan, where the admiral said it had recently conducted 2,000 raids in a year.

“I would contend that the reason the special operations forces on the kinetic side have been so successful in Afghanistan is because of that fusion of … ops and intel,” McRaven said.

But although McRaven is steeped in the direct action/JSOC world — he’s a SEAL who commanded a DevGru squadron and was deputy commander and then the most recent commander of JSOC — his testimony highlighted the role played by Special Forces, who have pioneered the establishment of Afghan Local Police forces, a program previously referred to as village stability operations.

“Our greatest success in Afghanistan has come from the Special Forces officers and [noncommissioned officers] who have been on the ground trying to change the landscape, if you will, in terms of our relationships with the Afghans,” he said. “The village stability operations, developing the Afghan Local Police, this is the most promising effort we have in Afghanistan right now.

“Much like Iraq, we’re not going to be able to kill our way to victory in Afghanistan,” McRaven said. “We’ve always understood that. Every soldier understands that you can’t do that in a counterinsurgency, so the effort that we’re putting into supporting the VSO, I think, is going to be critical.

“The real question is how do we take that concept of fusing ops and intel and get it down to the ALP level, the village stability operations level, and ensure that those young SF officers and NCOs and SEALs that are out there doing this have got the same sort of situational awareness that we have on the kinetic side.”

However, giving those special operators conducting indirect action missions the same quality of intelligence that informs JSOC’s kinetic missions would be harder, he said. “It’s a different requirement,” he said. “The kinetic side, frankly, is a lot easier than understanding the human landscape out there in the districts and the provinces.”

To that end, McRaven said, language training for all SOF officers and NCOs is one of his top priorities.

”We’re continuing to invest a lot of money in language because … I don’t think you can become culturally aware of a society until you can understand their language,” he said. “We’re putting a lot of investment in it and I know that’s going to pay huge dividends for us in the future.”

McRaven also told the subcommittee that as special operations forces are withdrawn from Iraq and Afghanistan over the next five to 10 years, he plans to strengthen the theater special operations commands. The TSOCs are the two-star headquarters inside the geographic combatant commands like European Command and Central Command and are responsible for the command and control of non-JSOC special operations forces in that theater. For instance, the special operations task force helping the Philippine armed forces in their operations against Islamist insurgents falls under Pacific Command’s theater special operations command, called Special Operations Command, Pacific Command, or SOCPAC. (However, the creation of a separate one-star special operations headquarters in Afghanistan cut CENTCOM’s theater special operations command out of the command and control function in Afghanistan.)

“One of the areas where I intend to put a lot of emphasis is building up the theater special operations commands, so that they have the entire spectrum of capability that I think they’ll need for the future,” McRaven said. This process would require different assets depending on the region, he said.

For instance, he said that “in certain cases,” such as disaster relief, SOCPAC “absolutely could” make use of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities delivered by unmanned aerial vehicles. However, said McRaven, who commanded European Command’s TSOC, “I’m sure our ability to fly into European air space with unmanned aerial vehicles is probably a nonstarter.”

China has not had a history of expansionism far beyond border disputes. The US certainly has had such a history, especially since 1898. Yet, we fear the Chinese! What irony! If they have a hostile intention, they can just sit back and watch us destroying ourselves through our international warring and financial profligacy.

Much-celebrated Nixon-Kissinger embrace of China to counter Soviet Union in 1972 has come back to haunt The United States.

Afterall China was a pariah country in the world just like today’s North Korea until Nixon’s 1972 visit. All the West European and East Asian countries stayed away from China following the US lead until 1972 and embraced China after Nixon’s visit. While US would not give MFN status to Soviet Union (remember Jackson-Vanik amendment?) unless Russia shed Communism, it had no problem giving it to China’s Communist dictators with a capitalist mask. Trade with China expanded by leaps and bounds during 12 years of Republican rule beginning in 1981. After campaigning against butchers of Beijing in 1992 elections, even Bill Clinton became enthusiastic supporter of trade with China once he took lessons in foreign policy from Nixon in early 1993 during a special Whitehouse-arranged meeting. US also promoted China to a super power status by accepting it as a permanent UNSC member.

Had it not been for that Nixon embrace in 1972, China’s rise to super power status would have been far more slower with all the US, West European and East Asian markets closed to cheap Chinese products. Had it not been for that Nixon embrace, China’s technological progress would have been far slower in the absence of West’s technology transfers. Had it not been for that Nixon embrace, China’s military progress would have been far slower in the absence of huge forex reserves that China accumulated from the massive exports of cheap Chinese products and China used those forex reserves to acquire latest military technology.

Now China has U. S. by the tail - U. S. businesses are hooked to huge profits that cheap Chinese products generate for them as a walk through any Wal-Mart, Sears, Home Depot and Macy’s filled with cheap Chinese goods prove and the U. S. government is hooked to huge investments that China makes in U. S. treasury bills from the sales of cheap Chinese products to U. S. businesses. It is a win-win for China and loose-loose for U. S. in this free trade. It has been said as a joke that if U. S. ever goes to war with China, U. S. would have to ask China to send boots for U. S. soldiers to go and fight against Chinese soldiers!

If capitalist U. S. had an upper hand against Communist Soviet Union in the first cold war, then creditor China has an upper hand against debtor U. S. in this second cold war.

Little could Mao or Deng have imagined that by wearing a capitalist mask, their followers will beat capitalists at their own game. Lenin used to say that ’capitalists will sell us the ropes with which we will hang them’. With West selling such proverbial ropes in the form of technology transfers, Chinese Communists have proven that Lenin saying quite prophetic....

What is haunting the utterly corrupt ZOG US....

That since 1972, indeed since 1964, the US has wasted American lives and resources on wars and imperial projections of power cannot be blamed on China. Back even further, China cannot be blamed for responding with force, after warnings to the US, to Douglas McArthur's march towards the Yalu River. What is haunting the US are decades of arrogant militarism by its leaders, imperial overstretch as recognized in the writing of Paul Kennedy and, later, by Chalmers Johnson.

Not only our arrogant militarism but our corrupted leaders' subservience to American corporations by entering into trade agreements that resulted in the dismantling of our basic industries and the attrition of the US middle-class. Instead of making our own consumer goods, we became the chief exporter of arms and allowed the Pentagon to fasten its grip on the US economy by becoming a principal supporter of communities and employment throughout our country. Martel cannot blame China for those choices.

At the same time, we became the foremost source of terrorism in the world, especially after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Before fall of the Berlin Wall, we had achieved milestones in terrorism in Central, South America, and Asia by toppling legitimate, elected governments and by supporting regimes that murdered their own peoples. The hatred and blow-back that now haunt us from those crimes by our government cannot be blamed on improvements in US-China relations.

With all his emphasis on China, Martel would have us forget that during the 1960s, before Nixon, we were already importing large numbers of Volkswagens, Datsuns, Hondas, Volvos and Renaults, because US capitalists refused to innovate to meet not only changing domestic demand but the demands of the export market. American manufacturers were just as arrogant as the US foreign policy establishment.

Martel refers to "the butchers in Beijing". Does he doubt that our leaders in Washington are butchers to families in Afghanistan and Iraq?

Does Martel think that it is China's fault that the US makes wars on borrowed money? Is China less trapped by its vaults filled with US Treasury notes and bonds than the US is on made in China goods? Borrow a few dollars, and your lender has the upper hand. Borrow hundreds of billions of dollars and you dominate your lender. I think China is doing what it can to free itself of its dollar dependence. Are we withdrawing from our costly global bases and military commitments in favor of rebuilding our domestic economy and reducing our borrowing from China?

With the economies of western Europe and the US threatened by sovereign debt defaults in the PIGS, I don't think the Chinese (or anyone else) would proudly wear a capitalist mask, these days. Capitalism ultimately means the corruption of governments for the benefit of corporate interests; it means the withering of civil liberties and the wedding of corporations and government. It is called corporatism, a precursor to fascism....

Suppose the US gave a war, and the other side chose not to come. On August 1, 2011, the 84th anniversary of the founding of the People's Liberation Army, China's Defense Minister said that China's military strategy was peace and prosperity. On September 6, 2011, China's Foreign Ministry released a White Paper that proclaimed that "peaceful development is China's strategic choice to realize modernization, make itself strong and prosperous, and make more contributions to the progress of human civilization." To win a war is competence; to win a war without fighting that war is genius. China has chosen to grow and prosper, and the US has chosen to commit suicide. The US blows up its computers, cell phones, digital cameras, and fertilizer, the basic components of smart munitions. The US destroys its ground and air vehicles. The US burns billions of gallons of its gasoline, aviation fuel, and diesel fuel. China sells their products for profit and uses their fuels to move passengers and cargo for profit. The US has chosen to destroy itself for decades with war while China has chosen to grow peacefully. The US is bankrupt, and China is rich. This is not China's fault; the stupid Americans have chosen suicide for themselves. The US is China's 2nd biggest trading partner in the world, after the EU, and China wants America to succeed, if only to collect repayment of US debts to China. China is the world's most responsible stakeholder, and the US is following insane, paranoid policies that will leave the US completely broken. When the US "bottoms out" like a drug addict, perhaps the US will recover from its addiction to the drugs, war and power.

Al Qaeda-linked Abdulhakim Belhaj, aka Abdel- Hakim al-Hasidi, who has been put into power in Libya by NATO

16. Recruitment offices were opened in Malaysia.

In Mazar-i-Sharif, more than 1,500 Afghans signed up for al Qaeda work in Libya, Syria and Yemen.

Reportedly, the Hebrew speaking Mohamed Atta flew drugs out of Venice, Florida, for the CIA.

17. On 17 February 2011, the "National Libyan Opposition Conference" organized a "day of anger" in Benghazi, which sparked the beginning of the recent war against Gaddafi.

On 23 February, LIFG's Imam Abdelkarim al-Hasadi proclaimed the creation of an Islamic Emirate in Derna, the most fundamentalist city in Libya.

The burqa was made mandatory and corporal punishment reinstated. Emir al-Hasidi has his own army.

18. All across "liberated" Cyrenaica, Al-Qaeda men have gone in for massacre and torture; they have specialized in slitting the throats of Gaddafi sympathizers, eye-plucking and cutting off the breasts of immodest women.

According to the New York Times, on 12/10/01, al-Qaeda's mujahedin worked with the US in Bosnia.

"Militants linked to Al Qaeda ... established connections with Bosnian organized crime figures.

"Officials said Al Qaeda ... found a route for the trafficking of heroin from Afghanistan into Europe through the Balkans."

On 11 February 2010, Forbes reported

1. Al Qaeda (CIA) in North Africa ... "appears to be involved in the trafficking of Latin American cocaine through Africa to Spain".

2. Michael Braun, chief of operations at the DEA until 2008, says "There is more clear evidence showing al Qaeda's (CIA's) growing involvement in the Afghan heroin trade on the Pakistan side of the border."

3. Dawood Ibrahim runs a 5,000 member gang involved in narcotics and operates mostly from Pakistan, India and the United Arab Emirates.

According to the US government, Ibrahim shares smuggling routes with al Qaeda (CIA) and has worked with both al Qaeda and its affiliate, Lashkar-e-Taiba.

Lashkar has been blamed for carrying out the 2008 Mumbai attacks, possibly with Ibrahim's help.

4. According to a federal indictment, in 2006 a Pakistani financier for Lashkar-e-Taiba handed David Headley of Chicago $25,000 to conduct video surveillance in India in preparation for the Mumbai attack.

According to Peter Dale Scott, Mexico's intelligence agency, the Dirección Federal de Seguridad, was in part a CIA creation.

Consider yourself warned - "[I]n the next few years Iran will be in position to detonate a nuclear device," so writes Ray Takeyh, confidently, in a recent Washington Post OpEd [1]. Why? Because the Iranian government willingly informed the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) that it would begin installing additional centrifuges with higher capacity to enrich uranium. [2]

Just like fertilizer can be used to increase crop yields - or make bombs - uranium is a dual use material.

Uranium enrichment has been conflated with nuclear weaponization so often that it has morphed into a virtual bogeyman bomb itself - an absolutely impermissible activity for the likes of Iran to pursue. This was not always the case. In irony

that only history can muster, Iran's nuclear program was kicked off in the 1950s with the full encouragement and support of the United States, under the auspices of president Dwight D Eisenhower's Atoms for Peace program. [3]

In 1970, the US proposed installing 23 nuclear power plants in Iran by the year 2000. A 1976 directive by then-president Gerald Ford offered Iran a US-built reprocessing facility for extracting plutonium from nuclear reactor fuel, another key ingredient for making nuclear bombs. [4] This "nuclear fuel-cycle" infrastructure is precisely the type of technology the US is now keen to keep out of Iran.

While it would be nice if Iran stopped enriching uranium, does the international community have any right to insist on that? Unfortunately, none of treaties and legal agreements that Iran is party to have changed since the time of the shah: what was legal then is legal now. [5]

Iran is a signatory of the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and, as such, is entitled to enrich uranium under IAEA safeguards, which it does. Argentina, Brazil, China, France, Germany, India, Japan, the Netherlands, Pakistan, Russia, the United Kingdom and the US all enrich uranium without any fuss.

In Brazil's case, there actually ought to be some fuss: their leaders have publicly expressed great interest in nuclear weapons [6] and have - unlike Iran - restricted IAEA inspectors from full access to their main uranium enrichment facility. [6]

Uranium enrichment is useful for generating the fuel for nuclear power plants, and for making radioisotopes for medical and agricultural uses - and, yes, for nuclear weapons as well. Asking how many years Iran is from making a bomb only makes sense if we know - or suspect that - Iran has a nuclear weapons development program.

But earlier this year, the US Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper released a new National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) on the Iranian nuclear program that could settle this question. [7]

This document represents the consensus view of 16 US intelligence agencies. Although the content of the new NIE is classified, Clapper confirmed in senate questioning that he has a "high level of confidence" that Iran "has not made a decision as of this point to restart its nuclear weapons program". [8]

This jibes with the Intelligence community's 2007 NIE, the unclassified version of which publicly stated that Iran wrapped up its nuclear weapons program in 2003. Recent State Department cables provided by WikiLeaks back this up - for instance State Department officials confirmed that some rehashed IAEA reports of suspicious Iranian activities in 2004 were "consistent with the 2003 weaponization halt assessment, since some activities were wrapping up in 2004". [9]

To be clear, what the NIE and the State Department cables refer to as Iran's "nuclear weapons program" (or "weaponization") pre-2003 was some possible - but disputed - evidence of research by Iranian scientists having to do building and potentially delivering a bomb, not a full-blown actual bomb factory.

Mohamed ElBaradei, the Nobel Peace Prize recipient who spent more than a decade as the director of the IAEA, recently told investigative journalist Seymour Hersh that he had not "seen a shred of evidence that Iran has been weaponizing, in terms of building nuclear-weapons facilities and using enriched materials ... I don't believe Iran is a clear and present danger. All I see is the hype about the threat posed by Iran." [10]

Indeed, every year, the IAEA has confirmed that Iran has complied with its nuclear materials' accountancy. There has never been any diversion of nuclear material into any alleged weapons program. Ever.

So, unless Iran starts a real nuclear weapons program it will never make the bomb - no matter how much enrichment takes place.

The only "evidence" of Iran's nuclear weapons program is its refusal to grant the IAEA completely unfettered access to whatever facilities the IAEA would like to inspect. But since the Iranian government has not ratified the "Additional Protocol" agreement it has no obligation to open every door to the IAEA.

Pretty much everything the US and its allies have done with regards to Iran's nuclear program has been counter-productive: the sanctions have improved Iran's domestic scientific capabilities. [11]

The assassination of Iranian scientists has led to one of the victims-to-be - Professor Fereydoun Abbasi-Davani - to be named head of the Iran's Atomic Energy Organization and therefore, automatically, one of the vice-presidents of the country. [12] And cyber-warfare, like the STUXNET virus suspected to be the work of US and Israel, [13] has not made a significant dent in Iran's enrichment capabilities: to the contrary, the Iranians have reportedly begun deploying second- and third-generation centrifuges which may boost their enrichment capability three-fold. [14]

So what to do?

Call off the cyber-warfare. Call off the assassinations. Call off the sanctions.

Not only are United Nations sanctions counterproductive, they are not even legal. The UN charter clearly outlines the conditions needed to kick off such sanctions - only after a determination of "the existence of any threat to the peace, breach of the peace, or act of aggression" is found, something that has never been done.

Far from marching towards making a nuclear bomb, Iran has repeatedly offered to place additional restrictions on its nuclear program well in excess of its legal obligations, including opening the program entirely to joint US participation and limiting the number of centrifuges they operate. More recently they agreed to a Turkish-Brazilian brokered deal to export their enriched uranium for fabrication into reactor fuel abroad. In each case, the US deliberately undermined or ignored these offers.

The underhanded way in which the US and its allies are misusing the IAEA to issue trumped up reports about Iran's alleged - and it should be stressed many years' past - "intransigence" over possible military activities threatens the very legitimacy of that agency.

The 118 nations that make up the non-aligned movement (NAM) - ie the real "international community" - have raised howls (or, at least, what passes for "howls" in diplomatic circles) about how politicized the agency has become lately [15].

In a statement read during an IAEA board of governors meeting, representatives of the NAM nations noted "with concern, the possible implications of the continued departure from standard verification language in the summary of the report of the director general [Yukio Amano]". [16]

As it turns out, Amano himself comes with some baggage attached. Leaked cables cast him as "solidly in the US court" on Iran. [17]. To save the legitimacy of the IAEA, Amano should give serious thought to gracefully resigning his post.

Surely, Iran should be stopped - but only when it does things that are illegal. A lot of dust has been kicked up recently because Iran has expressed interest in enriching uranium to 19.75% as fuel for the Tehran Research Reactor so that it can produce medical isotopes. (Normally, reactors used for generating nuclear power use uranium of 3.5% enrichment.) But anything less than 20% is considered low-enriched uranium (LEU) by the IAEA - not highly enriched uranium (HEU) as some have reported.

And in fact there is nothing in the law stopping Iran from enriching uranium to any level it pleases, so long as it does so under IAEA safeguards.

The most objective reading of Iran's intentions is that it may be stockpiling enough LEU to give itself a "break-out" option to weaponize in the future - unfortunately for the US and its allies, there is nothing illegal about that. The fault lies with NPT that allows such behavior - not with Iran. The US may as well insist that Iran also not produce fertilizer since that, too, can be used in bombs.

Iran could certainly take its stock of LEU and enrich it to a grade required for making bombs, but its LEU is under the surveillance of the IAEA - and has been for decades.

Diverting this material for military purposes would be discovered by the IAEA. So either Iran could cheat and get caught, or it could kick out the IAEA inspectors. [18] These, then, should be the real "red-lines" for taking any tougher actions on Iran.
